A company founded in friendship, inspired by our children. 42 + Ro is about celebrating the BIG moments in our little ones' lives.

42 + Ro was created by Amy Bradford and Lena Johnson, friends and moms who met through their husbands, Omar and David, who have been friends since college. The Bradfords and Johnsons are an inseparable bunch with two young children each. "We found that we wanted to commemorate and celebrate each other's children and their accomplishments, but we didn't want to keep giving them, say, a toy," Lena recalls. "We wanted to give them something special. Something that felt made just for them.”

42 + Ro, named after each family's younger
child.  Lena’s daughter Monroe, “Ro” and Amy’s son Heights XLII to
honor Omar's father (nicknamed “42”) and the great Jackie Robinson.

While Amy and Lena met through their husbands, they've cultivated their own meaningful friendship over the years. They've bonded over a love of fashion and art and their similar backgrounds working in fashion and luxury industries. Their diverse cultures — Amy is a Caribbean-American woman from Miami while Lena hails from Utah with Scandinavian roots — are an endless source of inspiration.

Amy began her professional life in healthcare marketing as an
agency Account Director for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania - Penn Medicine. Due to her love for luxury retail, she then joined an esteemed jeweler as a Sales and Business Development Consultant.

Lena got her start working at startup The Daily Beast before serving as an Account Director at Vogue, handling some of the most luxury and sought-after brands in the world.  Lena is now the Head of Marketing and Luxury at tech-forward real estate brokerage Compass.

With 42 + Ro, the duo is dedicated to creating high-quality jewelry loved by wearers of all ages while ensuring an enjoyable customer experience focused on fun and complete satisfaction.
